Objetivo del proyecto

Contribute to the achievement of the learning of the students of the monolingual multigrade focused educational institutions in the regions of Amazonas and Cajamarca.

Grupo de impacto

Girls and boys from 6 to 12 years old at the primary level, from multigrade and single-teacher schools located in rural areas that are in a situation of poverty and have low levels of learning nationwide.

Innovación

The strategy with an entrepreneurial social education approach with emphasis on the culture of savings, which made it possible for the curricular areas of Communication and Mathematics to be mobilized and the students to improve their learning.

In addition, it contributed to the development of entrepreneurial capacities and the increase of social and emotional skills that ensured their wellness and short-term life plan (completion of primary school). With all this, it contributed to the reduction of the school dropout gap and other gaps that are attributed to poverty.

Modelos efectivos

The emotional support strategy (workshops, counseling, and accompaniment) directed by the project team was powerful since it worked with the girls, boys, fathers, mothers, and teachers. A differentiated training plan was developed with each of them to strengthen their socio-emotional skills (self-esteem, perseverance, and teamwork).

Aprendizajes

  • The project did not have a student learning monitoring system to progressively measure their performance, therefore, instruments were developed that would allow to know the progress of their learning in order to guide each teacher for the differentiated attention of their students.
  • There was no georeferencing strategy, before starting the implementation of the project, to group the targeted areas by distance. After visiting the communities, a map of targeted areas was designed, and care goals were distributed according to the location and amount of population to be served.
  • The project did not contemplate developing virtual educational content, and as a result of the implementation of laptops and projectors, an offline platform with educational content was designed.
