Objetivo del proyecto

To ensure that the youth and adults living in poverty from the CEBA and CETPRO of Huaytara and Angaraes complete their studies empowered.

Grupo de impacto

Bilingual young people and adults (Quechua and Spanish) in the process of completing their studies at the primary and / or secondary level and living in poverty located in rural communities that carry out agricultural and livestock economic activities.

Innovación

The itinerant education proposal aimed at adults who did not have the opportunity to complete their studies is part of an innovation that not only allows them to finish their studies, but also to develop life skills such as entrepreneurial skills and financial literacy.

Fortalecimiento de la sociedad civil

Work with community agents in the towns where the initiative was implemented.

Modelos efectivos

The development of the mapping strategy of the participants by their areas of residence helped to locate the intervention focuses according to the purpose of the project (people without schooling, illiteracy, etc.). At the same time, this made it possible to establish a project implementation route through targeted areas.

Aprendizajes

  • At the beginning of the project, there was no mapping of community leaders; however, in the implementation, it was considered to identify them, sensitize, and involve them in the project activities. Since they are the ones who allow entry to the communities, many are reactive to proposals that are not of their interest or do not convince them (they may be proposals from the State or private entities).
  • The project did not plan to work with the Technical Productive Centers; however, doing so generated greater interest in the target audience, since a life plan was generated in relation to the continuity of their studies.
  • The Alternative Basic Education (Educación Básica Alternativa -EBA) proposal is not relevant for dispersed rural communities, therefore, the response of the inclusive itinerant educational model addresses educational needs through modules and practical learning projects that ensure the development of basic skills for their certification, which are more accepted in the population.
